Ruby Diner Waitress Dress Costume: Retro 50s Rockabilly Uniform, Custom Made

I created this pattern as a custom order for a customer. It turned out so well that I offered them a custom order.

The dress is designed to resemble a Ruby's Diner vintage retro-style waitress uniform. It will be made of cotton broadcloth. The cuffs and collar are solid white. Pretty white buttons run up the front of the dress. The dress has princess seams throughout. There is a detached white apron. The apron ties in a big white bow at the back of the dress or can be wrapped around the body to tie in the front.

The dress is available in the following sizes. If you'd like the length of the dress adjusted, please send a measurement from the shoulder to where you want the hemline to be during checkout.

Please keep in mind that my listings are based on pattern sizes and not clothing sizes. These are VERY DIFFERENT. If you wear a size 8 in clothing, you might need a 16 in a pattern. So, for an accurate fit, please pick the size that's the closest match to the body measurements of the person wearing the garment.

The finished garment will have extra room to make the piece comfortable to wear and fit as it's supposed to. There is normally no reason to size up because the costume is generous, to begin with. The most important step is choosing the correct size to start with.

To care for this please do the following as they are 100% cotton items.

*Wash with a mild detergent in cold water.
*Do not use bleach.
*Dry on low heat or air dry to prevent shrinking. Air drying is best.
*Iron inside out on a cotton setting.
*To press the apron, it's best to use a parchment paper or other cover between the iron and garment. This will prevent damage to the garment.
